Glassfiber Fabric Woven Roving |
Woven roving is glassfiber roving woven into bi-directional fabric in a plain weave pattern. The construction implants to the fabric an excellent dimensional stability for handling. It is compatible with
unsaturated polyester, vinylester and epoxy resins.
The high performance reinforcement are suitable for applications by hand lay-up, winding, pultrusion, injection, low pressure molding, continuous impregnation and hot pressing. The end use products are such as boats, vessels, container, tanks, plane and automotive parts, profile and sandwich structures, furniture and sports facilities.
Features
• Compatible with multiple resin systems | • Easy to conform to shape |
• Excellent mechanical properties | • Easy impregnation ability |
• Good dimensional stability | • UV and colour stability |
Standard Products
Packaging
The woven rovings are wound on a 3” paper tuber and warped with a plastic film. It is packed by carton box in horizontal position with 16 carton boxes per pallet.
Storage Condition
Unless otherwise specified, fiberglass products should be stored in a dry, cool and rain-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity should be always maintained at 150C – 350C,
35% – 65% respectively. To ensure safety and avoid damage to the product, the pallets should not be stacked more than two layers high. When the pallets are stacked in two layers, care should be taken to correctly and smoothly move the top pallet.

Chopped Strand is made by chopping continuous strands into certain lengths ranging from 3.2mm to 25.4mm. It can be used as reinforcement for Thermo-plastic and Thermosetting Plastics. Each plastic has its compatible Chopped Strand with specific sizing.
Application
B.M.C. (Bulk Molding Compound) or Pound Chip used for Hot Press Molding or Injection Molding Method
SPECIFICATION
Manufacture: TEXTRON SPECIALTY MATERIALS
Until now there is only one commercialize boron fiber provider presented, Textron Specialty Material. Production of boron filament is achieved through a unique Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process. During the CVD process, gaseous boron compounds are heated and the boron is deposited on a tungsten wire substrate. Boron fiber is a light weight, also high tech, high performance materials which has three times the strength and twice the stiffness of steel
Application
Space shuttle, Helicopter, Sporting goods, like Tennis racket, Fishing rod, Golf shaft, etc
Manufacture: TEIJIN LIMITED Technora®
Technora® is a para aramid fiber, which was developed independently by Teijin in 1974 and has been patented in the main industrial countries of the world. Technora is a new organic fiber for industrial use and exhibits a high performance regarding such mechanical characteristics as tensile strength and modulus and such chemical characteristics as chemical and hydrolytic resistance. With these properties, Technora can replace steel, glass, carbon fibers, asbestos and existing organic fibers.
SPECIFICATION
Manufacture: TEIJIN LIMITED TEIJINCONEX
1) Introduction : TEIJINCONEX has high heat resistance and is inherently flame-retardant as well, and it is classified as one of the aramid fiber family; an aromatic polyamide. Unlike conventional inorganic heat resistant fibers, TEIJINCONEX retains similar performance to natural and synthetic fibers together with its heat resistant property. This makes it possible to spin a wide range of yarn and also can be blended for spinning with natural and synthetic fiber.
2) Typical fiber properties
INTRODUCTION
SPECTRA ECPE, the first commercially available ECPE fiber, was introduced in February 1985. They are the first in a family of extended chain polymers manufactured by Allied-Signal Corporation. SPECTRA fibers are made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMPE). In contrast to aramids, PE is a flexible molecule which normally crystallizes by folding back on itself. The molecular weight of UHMPE is generally 1 to 5 million, whereas convertional P.E. fibers are typically 50000 to several hundred thousand. SPECTRA fibers also exhibit a very high degree of crystalline orientation (95 !V 99%), and crystalline content (60 !V 85%).
The morphology of general PE & SPECTRA are as below
